Creating the illusion of reality in black and white is a challenging and rewarding adventure. It requires a keen eye and the understanding of value and texture to bring these subjects to life. As in painting, the graphite artist must employ all of the principles of composition, perspective and light to create a believable and enjoyable work of art.
