The baby Elephant was wailing, the sound was piercing, the grief palpable. As we drove closer we saw his dead mother laying there beneath the screaming baby, her tusks were brutally ripped from her head by callous and unscrupulous poachers. The sight and sound of this heart wrenching scene is something I’ll never forget. It left an indelible stain on my heart and was the catalyst to my decision and determination to use my artistic talent to help these and the other magnificent and endangered creatures of the wild.
