Welcome to My Spring Newsletter
Greetings! I hope this finds you doing well and enjoying our last bit
of Springtime weather. Thank you for tuning into this months
Newsletter. If this is your first visit Welcome!
For those who have been tuning in every moth I want to apologize for my
absence the past couple of months. For those who live in Texas you
endured the Hundred-Year Winter Storm in Feb. Unprecedented snow fall
and record breaking freezing temperatures left formidable damage in
it's wake. I never thought I would have to melt snow to prime the
toilet until a broken pipe left me without water for five days. Many of
us are still repairing the damage from this surreal event. Sometimes
the human spirit is no match for Mother Nature.
Last month brought the unexpected and untimely death of my brother.
Such a sad time but it's true, no matter the emotion of the heart, life
refuses to wain and the show must go on. I want to thank all of you who
attended 'Wine on the Wild Side'. I really enjoyed talking with all of
you and sharing my passion and my art. The venue at Stone House was
perfect and the staff was incredible. A special 'thanks' to Angela and
her staff for hosting my event. Such a beautiful setting, if you
haven't been there, I highly recommend you stop by.

In a recent development I've been invited to share my art with the
world in an eight page spread in the international publication
'DESTIG'. I'm now working on preparing the many images and answering
the in-depth interview portion of the submission. One of the questions
they ask gets my creative juices flowing, "What directions are you
interested in exploring in future work / upcoming projects?" Two areas
that I want to spend time focusing on and studying are PleinAir
Painting and Light. PleinAir Painting is taking the easel out doors and
actually painting from life. This is invaluable study of nature at it's
purest form. My goal is to include more landscape and scenery in my
wildlife painting. The use of more dynamic light will add interest and
appeal to my work. Sculpting is another area I'm considering. My goal
is not to become a sculptor but to use this process as a deeper dive
into the anatomy and nuances of my subjects.
I look forward to many new and exciting works as my paths on this
journey become wider and more diversified. I hope you will join me for
the fun!
Will visit again next month. Until then...
Create the life you want and enjoy every moment!
