I think the best way to say "thank you" for God given talent is to use that talent for His glory. I wanted to express my passion for wildlife in a spiritual work of art and started a three year journey that not only pushed me to another level as an artist but impacted every area of my life. 

"The Shepherd" is a colored pencil on Mesquite drawing that proved to be extremely challenging in terms of composition and execution. I used many reference photos for this piece and required many layers of pencil to achieve the depth and detail I was looking for.

I think of this piece as being my legacy and can be seen in the Chapel of the Scott & White Hospital in Marble Falls, Tx.
